JSC Inter RAO — Electric Power Plants receives the autumn/winter readiness certificate

JSC InterRAO — Electric Power Plants received the readiness certificate for the 2017-2018 autumn/winter season. The readiness certificate confirms that all power generation facilities of the company have been set up for increased utilization and reliable supply of electricity and heat through the seasonal peak in autumn and winter.

The certificate was issued following the inspection of all power plants of JSC Inter RAO — Electric Power Plants by special commissions of Rostechnadzor,  the System Operator, Technical Inspection Service, EMERCOM and the technology service management team with the CTO Office of LLC Inter RAO — Management of Electric Power Plants. Upon inspections, the commissions signed the protocols confirming that the subsidiaries comply with all basic and extended readiness criteria for the autumn and winter seasons.

"Our energy facilities repairs program was implemented in a timely manner and its quality was good. As a part of the maintenance routine, the company completed 39 repairs of power units with the total capacity of 13,215 MW, 24 repairs of steam and gas turbines with the total capacity of 2,615 MW, and 25 repairs of steam and exhaust-heat boilers with the total steam generation capacity of 5,933 t/h. The staff has undergone all necessary drills so that power industry workers know perfectly well what to do in an emergency and when ambient air temperature plummets. All power plants have sufficient reserves of fuel. Proper staff training and preparation of equipment of plants are aimed at operation through the seasonal peak in autumn and winter in accordance with the schedule," said CEO of Inter RAO – Management of Power Generation Timur Lipatov.
