Specialists of Inter RAO – Management of Electric Power Plants hold the first independent minor inspection of THE GAS turbine

The first independent minor inspection of Siemens V94.2 (SGT5-2000E) gas turbine of power generation unit No. 1 with a capacity of 150 MW was carried out at Severo-Zapadnaya TPP, a part of JSC Inter RAO – Electric Power Plants.

Within the framework of scheduled work, the specialists of LLC Inter RAO – Management of Electric Power Plants independently assessed the technical condition of the flow path and combustion chambers of the GTP, carried out all the necessary control measurements, and also replaced the defective heat-resistant tiles in the combustion chambers.

"We have the largest GTP fleet in this country and we are gradually developing the necessary experience in operation and maintenance of this kind of equipment," said Timur LIPATOV, the Chief Executive of LLC Inter RAO – Management of Electric Power Plants. "The development of our own competencies in this area will allow us not to depend on often excessive or insufficient recommendations of manufacturers, but to independently monitor the condition of the equipment without reducing the quality and reliability level of its operation."

Both power generation units of Severo-Zapadnaya TPP consist of two gas turbines and one steam turbine, each with a capacity of 150 MW. Minor inspections are carried out on gas turbines once a year; another three inspections of similar class are scheduled for autumn 2018.
