Igor Zozulya, a boiler auxiliary operator at Nizhnevartovskaya SDPP, saves two children
On April 3, Igor Zozulya, a Class VII boiler auxiliary operator of the Boiler and Turbine Shop at the Nizhnevartovskaya SDPP, rescued two children from a burning house.
Igor was spending his weekend in the countryside, as usual. On Sunday morning, he heard an explosion and saw the neighboring house on fire. Our colleague knew that there were people in the house and, having called the firemen, rushed to their aid. The man found two teenagers in the burning rooms. They had already suffered serious burns. To make things worse, the young people were in panic after the explosion. However, Igor was able to pull them outside.
“At that moment, I remembered everything they taught us at the power plant, from the emergency response plan to providing first aid to the victims,” Igor said.
Igor Zozulya, 57, has been working at the Nizhnevartovskaya SDPP for 19 years. He is a zealous mentor and has corporate awards. In 2013, he was awarded a Certificate of Honor by the Nizhnevartovsk Region administration. Colleagues describe Igor Vladimirovich as a resolute, cheerful and dedicated person, a real specialist in his field.
